Summer Bishil (born June 15 in 1985) is an American actor best known for playing Margo for the role of Margo on The Magicians, a Syfy television series of fantasy dramas that aired through 2015. The actress was previously recognized as the character of a 13-year-old Lebanese-American girl Jasira Maroun, who is undergoing emotional and traumatic experiences against an environment that is dominated by the U.S. military invasion of Iraq in the Gulf War in the Alan Ball film Towelhead. Later that year she was named as one of Variety's Ten Actors To See. In 2009, she played the imposing Taslima in Crossing Over. She was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead for this film. The actress has also appeared in a number of films, including Mooz-lum The Last Airbender Pop Star and Under the Silver Lake and she has appeared in a variety of guest roles on television apart from playing co-lead on Lucky 7.
